戰後本港適齡學童人口大增，教師供應問題亟待解決。羅富國師範學院於1946年3月復課，先後開設兼讀制及全日制小學教師培訓課程，以及兼讀制中學教師培訓課程。

After the war, the surging school-age students made teacher supply a top priority. In March 1946, Northcote Training College resumed operation and offered part-time and full-time primary school teacher training courses, as well as part-time secondary school teacher training courses.

對聯「羅才晉士禮賢始，富國強民教育先」，由李超源博士題贈給羅富國教育學院。對聯意思謂「要招攬人才，必先要禮賢下士。國家要富強，首先要發展教育」。
This couplet was composed by Dr Li Chau-yuan and given to Northcote College of Education. The meaning is: “To recruit talents, one must first be courteous to the wise and condescending to scholars. For a country to be rich and strong, it must first develop education”.
